La indagación del “yo” y el “otro” se basa en primera instancia en el acto de observar, altamente influenciados por estereotipos propios de los medios de comunicación. La obra nace como reacción al creciente fanatismo por la televisión de masas, los reality shows y la presentación de la mujer como objeto de deseo. Surge la necesidad de traducir los dos elementos contrapuestos; la negación de la persona con sus cualidades únicas e irrepetibles a cambio del exacerbado reconocimiento que la fama ofrece.
Es así como el cuerpo de la performista pasa a ser instrumento de paso. La mujer -maquina se niega a si misma y su función consiste netamente llamar en la atención. Una vez captada, busca transformase en vehículo que lleva al transeúnte desde el anonimato (la masa) hasta distinción única que ofrece la imagen de TV.
Entonces, es importante preguntar: ¿que es lo que observamos cuando observamos a quien nos observa?

The question about “myself” and “the other” are based on the first glance, highly influenced by stereotypes of the mass media. This work is born as a reaction to the increasing fanaticism for mass television, the reality shows, and the representation of the woman as object of desire. It arises the need to translate both opposite elements; the denial of the person with his (hers) unique and unrepeatable qualities in exchange for the unlimitated recognition that “fame” offers.
Performer s body becomes an object to be contemplated. The machine - woman denies herself as a person, in order to get spectators attention by exhibing her beauty peagent stereotype image. She uses the video camara and live transmition in order to transform the espectators anonymity (the mass) to the unique distinction that TV broadcast image offers.
It is important then to ask: What is that we see when we look at the one who is observing us?
